Faridkot : Rich tributes were paid to eminent Marxist thinkers and a leader of heroic workers struggle, Comrade Surjit Gill, in an impressive seminar, organised by Revolutionary Marxist Party of India (RMPI), at MGM Senior Secondary School. The key lecture upon ‘Signifiacance of Praja Mandal and Muzara Kisan Movement in the current situation’ was delivered by Comrade Mangat Ram Pasla, General Secretary RMPI. Comrade Mahipal, Central Committee Member RMPI also delivered a special lecture regarding inspiring eventful life of Comrade Surjit Gill. The presideum comprising Com Mehar Singh Harinau, Comrade Gurtej Singh, Comrade Jagtar Singh Virdi, Comrade Jagjit Jaseana, Comrade Kuldip Sharma presided over the seminar. Among others emerging novelist Rana Harpinder and Harjit Madrasa, vise president Dehati Majdur Sabha Punjab also expressed their precious views. It’s notable that Comrade Surjit Gill actively participated in the historic Muzara (Tennant) peasant armed struggle of Pepsu. He spent near about six decades of his life in the struggles for betterment of down trodden. Along with he was a famous Maxist Writer and Critic of Punjabi Literature. He wrote a well equipped book comprising facts and incident of Mujara Movents which also comprise fine life sketches of Great leaders of this history changing struggle.
