Pucca morchas in Punjab in the current Farm Movement completed one year today

Singhu Border, 30 September (Sangrami Lehar Bureao)- Today, farm movement has completed one year since the pucca morchas were first established in Punjab. “Over the last 12 months, the farm movement has grown from farmers’ protest against three anti-farmer laws, Electricity Amendment Bill, and law related to Delhi air pollution, to become a historic movement, which has received support and solidarity from all sections of the society, and even worldwide. The movement which started one year ago with a pucca morcha in Punjab, has united the farmers across the country to fight for a common cause. Today, there are over 108 active morchas in Punjab. The movement continues to grow stronger, will not die out, and will continue until all its demands fulfilled”, said SKM.

BJP and allied parties leaders continue to face protests in several states. In Karnal, BJP had to cancel its program, which was to be attended by its District Chief Yogendra Rana and former MLA Bakshish Singh Virk, when farmers reached the site and started to protest. Farmers burnt the effigies of CM Manoharlal Khattar and Bakshish Singh Virk. SKM had earlier announced that it will oppose all programs of BJP and its allied parties.
