The meeting noted that it is most urgent task to campaign in masses down below to safeguard secular democracy, to fight back pro-corporate, anti-labour, anti-farmer, and anti-national oppressive policy framework of the Central government which is becoming more vindictive and oppressive. The government is serving the interest of the international finance capital and has failed to protect Indian farmers, workers and small businesses and trades against the Trump’s tariff regime.
There are new offenses on the public sector enterprises and the public services for privatisation and sale to corporates, the latest being the proposed Electricity Amendment Bill 2025, Draft Labour policy from MoLE, the attempts of circumventing state governments to carry forward its agenda of four labour codes, and land grab of farmers through state machinery etc.
It was decided that all efforts be made to seek support and to extend support to the struggles of other sections of the society to broaden the mass appeal. This will help in resistance movement and for sustenance of the struggles in future.
CTUs and SKM called upon the common masses to extend their support in these actions in the national interest.
