Amritsar : Members of the Revolutionary Marxist Party of India (RMPI) on Monday launched a 10-day ‘Lok Jagao- Lutery Bhajao’ campaign against the “pro-corporate policies” of the Central government and “anti-people” policies of the Punjab government.
The campaign commenced from historic Jallianwala Bagh after paying floral tribute at the Shaheedi Samark. Party leaders Mangat Ram Pasla, general secretary; Rattan Singh Randhawa, president; and Dr Satnam Singh were among the prominent personalities, who addressed the rally.
Randhawa said two jathas of party workers would meet the masses in every district of Punjab. One jatha would visit the districts from Pathankot to Khuia Sarwar in Fazilka while the other jatha would move from Bhindi Saida in Ajnala to Mohali.
Besides Randhawa, one jatha led by Mangat Ram Pasla consisting of Dr Satnam Ajnala, Gurmej Singh Timmowal, Baldev Singh Saidpur, Amrit Singh Daud, Sital Singh Talwandi and others would cover Majha and Doaba region of Punjab. The second jatha led by Gurnam Singh Daud, core committee member of the party, Pargat Singh Jamarai, Jaspal Singh, Mukhtiar Singh and Baldev Singh Pandori would cover Tarn Tarn and entire Malwa region.
